Type designer and academy rector (1874 - 1951)
Walter Tiemann was a German type designer for the Gebr.-Klingspor foundry and rector of the Leipzig Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Production. As Tschichold's master teacher, he gave him the responsibility of teaching fellow students while still young, accelerating Tschichold's professional development .
